White Sturgeon fish (Acipenser transmontanous)
|We have for sale on a seasonal basis California White Sturgeon fish. They are 3.5 to 5.5 inches, and are farm raised. They are not wild stocks! Fish are eating sinking .8 mm to 1.5 mm size sinking pellets, frozen or live brine shrimp and blood/tublifex worms. These can be raised in fish tanks and small fiberglass tanks until large enough (10 to 12 inches) to be stock into your ornamental koi ponds. If given good water conditions and fed well they grow quickly within a year to over a foot. They can be raised with other fish such as goldfish and koi. They need shade and smaller fish do better in dim light in a fish tank and in shaded ponds. In an ideal pond setting, they can grow to 3 to 6 feet. Sturgeons do not tolerate high temperatures over 29 degrees cel and direct full sun. Shipping is by USPS priority mail. We ship Mondays through Wednesdays. Live arrival is guaranteed with overnight shipping and USPS priority mail. Contact us if you want overnight shipping. We will quote you the charge, and you will be billed seperately for the cost before your sturgeon is shipped. Large amount of fish should be shipped overnight, which puts less stress on them. In case of DOA, please email within three hours of package acceptance with two pictures; one in unopened bag and the the other with all fish's tail chopped off. We will replace the fish, or refund the cost of the fish. Shipping charges are not refundable, and customer is liable for reshipping charges.
**WE CAN COMBINE SHIPPING FOR UP TO 4 FISH PER PACKAGE!!**
IMPORTANT!: These Sturgeons are raised at 15 to 21 degrees Celcius. They are acclimated to warm water/California fall temperatures. It is not mandatory to have a chiller with White Sturgeons. Make sure your tank is not new setup and with any tap water. Have areation and filteration going for a few days prior to arrival. When you get the package, place the bag in your tank for 20 mins to equalize the water temperatures. Then open the bag and add 20% volume of bag water from your tank into the bag. Wait 10 minutes. Repeat addition of another 20% of your tank water into the bag. Wait another 10 minutes, then release the fish into your tank. Wait a day to feed the fish sinking pellets. White Sturgeons need partial or full shade to thrive and do not like a lot of light.
